Attacks by militants in Zamfara state are believed to be in response to military air strikes on hideouts At least 200 people are believed to have been killed in villages in the north-western Nigerian state of Zamfara during deadly reprisal attacks by armed bandits. Residents returned to the villages on Saturday after the military organised mass burials. The state government said 58 people had been killed during the attacks.
